Spray polyurethane foam roofing in Dallas
The Leader in Spray Foam Roofing & Insulation
| Question: |
What is leak proof, cuts energy costs and lasts for years? |
| Answer: |
Spray Polyurethane Foam |
Spray polyurethane foam, commonly referred to as SPF, is a
spray-applied insulating foam plastic that is installed as a
liquid and then expands many times its original volume. SPF's
100% adhesion means a permanent, one piece, watertight seal
around roof penetrations and along edges.
If you are looking at a roofing project consider the benefits of SPF:
 |
Weatherproof: Not only does it
stand up to water, it performs well against hurricane force winds (read
more). |
 |
Performance: SPF coats any roofing surface, is strong yet flexible,
contracting with temperature changes. |
 |
Cost effective: SPF is insulation after all, reducing your energy
bill. SPF roofing also costs up to 50% less over its lifespan. |
 |
Enduring: The lifespan of a SPF
roof is virtually endless. The roof is completely renewable - make minor
repairs with caulk or
re-coat. |
A Life Cycle Cost Analysis performed by Michelsen Technologies
demonstrated that over a 30 year life span, SPF roof systems
cost between 10% and 50% less on average than comparably
insulated membrane roof systems. (Averages were based on SPF
roof system re-coats of every 6, 10 and 15 years. A copy of
the Life Cycle report is available from
SPFA.)

If you still aren't convinced that SPF roofing isn't
the best value around, consider the following:
 |
SEAMLESS
- SPF is a seamless, airtight waterproof system - it
eliminates leaks |
 |
SELF-FLASHING
- spray-in-place polyurethane foam to conforms to any structure
or surface |
 |
LIGHTWEIGHT
- SPF roofing systems weigh approximately one-tenth
(.10) of conventional roofing systems |
 |
INSULATES
- SPF roofing has the highest "R" (6.88) value providing more
thermal resistance of any roofing product on the market |
 |
ELIMINATES
PONDING WATER - The versatility of spray-in-place
polyurethane foam roofing allows sloping that eliminates water
ponding |
 |
VERSATILE
- SPF can be used on new roofs, re-roofing projects, flat roofs,
pitched, domed, metal, wood, concrete and on and on |
 |
WATER & AIR
TIGHT - The closed cell structure of polyurethane foam
resists the penetration of water and air |
 |
STRENGTH
- While very lightweight, polyurethane foam is strong and does not
pack down or sag |
 |
FLEXIBLE
- SPF expands and contracts without affecting the ability to protect
the structure from outside elements |
 |
LONG LIFE
- SPF roofs last indefinitely, needing only minor repairs using a caulk gun instead
of complete removal/replacement like other systems |
 |
EASE OF
APPLICATION - SPF roofing can be installed quickly with
little or no disruption to your business |
 |
LOWERS
SURFACE TEMPERATURE - On a 90 degree day SPF roofing is
120 degrees as compared to 200 for traditional roofing systems,
saving you cooling costs |
 |
WARRANTIES
- 5, 10 and 15-year warranties are available on most roofs; a
15-year hail proof warranty is available on some projects. |
