Questions you should consider when evaluating a contractor:
Experience - how many years experience does the
actual spray applicator have, NOT the business itself?
The applicators experience is going to be evident in the final application.
An example of this is that there are automotive paint and body shops who
have been in business for years with painters who are fresh out of trade
school doing the actual work and it shows in the cars finish as compared to
a paint job that was done by a seasoned professional.
Dallas Urethane
employs two seasoned applicators, one with over 32 years experience and
another with over 27 years experience. Both have been with Dallas Urethane
for over 25 years. Our roofs are second to none.
Is the contractor bondable?
Dallas Urethane is capable of bonding jobs up to $6 million dollars. The only
way to get bonding of this amount is to have a proven track record of
successful problem free jobs in your portfolio. Dallas Urethane has excelled
in customer satisfaction, henceforth we have a very impressive list of
satisfied customers.
What is the thickness of the coating that will be
applied?
Make sure that the quote for your urethane roof reflects the thickness of
the urethane foam as well as either the thickness or the gallons per square
of coating as well as type of coating that will used. Don’t just compare
prices. Make sure you are comparing apples to apples so to speak.
There are
lots of contractors who intentionally leave out this key info which will let
them cheapen the job up and boost their profits at your expense.
Is your contractor willing to include in his quote the services of an
outside roofing inspector to inspect and make sure that you have received
the proper thickness of the urethane foam and thickness of the coating that
has been contracted by you?
Dallas Urethane will gladly include the services
of an outside inspector on any of our jobs. This is a very good value for
your peace of mind.
What type of warranty are you getting with your new roof?
Dallas Urethane
is a manufacturer preferred contractor which means that we can furnish you
with a written warranty from the manufacturer itself and not just a
contractor warranty.
References are important
- does your potential contractor have verifiable
references?
Ask to go see and inspect at least three of their roofs that
they have done in your area that are at least 5 years old. If they can’t
show any roofs, be wary!
What type of people does your contractor have employed
that will be on
your property?
All of Dallas Urethane’s employees have gone through criminal
background checks from a US Department of Defense contractor and have all
been cleared to work. All of Dallas Urethane employees are
legal US citizens with no criminal background.
